Welcome to Region 9

Dear Probationer,

Welcome to Region 9! This is your local region of the NFSH. The NFSH divide the UK into 14 regions and you will find that our region covers Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South & West Yorkshire.

This is the letter which I will be sending out to you in due course if you have recently joined as a probationer, but I include it here for those who have not seen it.

As a Probationer Healer you are embarking on the exciting journey of healing, and as a representative of the NFSH I should like to help prepare you for this journey.

Your goal as a probationer may be to acquire Full Healer status. If you are already working with a full healer or attending a development group, you may already have started to gain experience. If you find you are not receiving the help you would like, please contact Central Office to be put in touch with local healers. Or contact me and I will try to put you in touch with someone locally, particularly if you are in West Yorkshire.

Over your two year probationary period, you will need two full healers who are willing to sponsor you into your full healer membership. During your probationership you will need to spend a minimum of at least six hours with each healer, who will also act as your mentors. They will be able to answer your questions and give you on going support, with both your own self development and healing techniques.

Before you acquire full healer status you will also need to attend the recommended development courses. Please contact the region’s tutors for course dates. Remember that there is almost always a choice of tutor, and we are working towards extending that choice, so if you find one particular tutor does not suit you or the courses are not at a convenient time for you, please get in touch with me and I will try to find you an alternative. Also be wary of signing up for further courses with a tutor whilst still on the previous one if you are not happy with that tutor. Please do not commit if you are unsure and get in touch with me. It is even in some cases beneficial to do courses with different tutors if you can, in order to experience different teaching styles.

Before you apply for full healer membership, you will need to provide the names of four patients whom you have helped with your healing, who will be willing to fill in a simple form to that effect. When all that has been accomplished you will be able to apply for full healer membership. The final stage of the whole process is to appear before the local membership panel, who will ask you some questions about healing and the code of conduct and ask you for a short demonstration of healing. This is not as frightening as it sounds!

Upon completion of the necessary training, satisfactory reports from your four patients and two sponsors, and the satisfaction of the membership panel, Full Healer membership is then awarded.

Your regional committee members are listed below, and if you should need any help at any time, please do not hesitate to contact us. We should also be pleased to hear from you if you feel you can be of any assistance to your region.

You are also most welcome to work on the exhibition stand, and if you would like to volunteer for the experience please contact Allan Noble.

I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of the Region 9 committee and your probationer co-ordinators to wish you well on your healing journey with the NFSH.

Enjoy the journey!
Kindest regards and good wishes,

Diana

(Mrs Diana Hughes - Probationer Liaison for Region 9)
